This page explains what happens to your information when you use Learn to Buy Health Insurance Calls. I've tried to write it in plain language rather than dense legal-speak, because you deserve to actually understand it rather than just scroll past it.

What I Collect

When you sign up for the newsletter or fill out a contact form on this site, I collect whatever you submit. That's typically your full name and email address, along with any message details you choose to include. I don't ask for sensitive information like your health history, insurance policy numbers, or Social Security number, and you should never need to submit that kind of thing through a form here.

I also use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site: which pages get read, how people arrive here, and general traffic patterns. Google Analytics relies on cookies and similar tracking technology to do this. It gives me aggregate insight, not a name-and-address file on any one visitor.

How I Use Your Information

If you give me your email and name, I use them to:

• Send you the emails you signed up for, including updates, guides, and marketing about topics related to health insurance, Medicare, ACA plans, and call marketing
• Respond to whatever question or message you sent through a contact form
• Keep basic records of who has subscribed or reached out, so I don't lose track of things

I do not sell your personal data. I'm not in the business of building a list to hand off or auction to third parties. If that ever changes in a meaningful way, this policy will be updated to reflect it.

Email Service Providers and Tools

To actually send newsletters and manage subscriptions, I rely on third-party email and form tools. Your email address and name pass through those platforms as part of normal operation. They are bound by their own privacy and security practices, and I choose providers that take that seriously.

Cookies and Analytics

Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking using tools like the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking cookies won't stop you from reading or using the site, though some analytics data about your visit simply won't be collected.

How to Unsubscribe

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you'll be removed from that list. If for some reason that link doesn't work for you, reach out through the contact form on this site and I'll take care of it manually.

Data Retention

I keep subscriber and contact information for as long as it's useful and relevant, generally as long as you remain subscribed or until you ask me to delete it. I don't hold onto data indefinitely just for the sake of it.

Your Privacy Rights

If you're a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right to know what personal information I hold about you, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of any sale of personal information (which, again, I don't do). Depending on where you live, you may have similar rights under other state or national privacy laws. To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form on this site and I'll respond as promptly as I can.
